MILL CITY PUPILS STRIKE IN PROTEST OF RESIGNATION

Minneapolis—Teachers [?] practically deserted classrooms today as more than 150 of the 350 students of the St. Louis Park High School went on strike in protest of the resignation of Principal J. H. McNeal.

McNeal, who says he quit the school because of a disagreement with Superintendent N. H. McKay over hiring of teachers for the next school year, met with the striking students and [tried?] to coax them to return to [?] classes.

McKay said he expected the students would ‘calm down and get back to business’ shortly. No action will be taken [?] the ‘strikers,’ he said.
